Transportation

Pupil transportation is a necessary service and integral part of the total educational program. The major objectives of the pupil transportation program are to provide safe transportation, operate an efficient and economical transportation system, adapt transportation to the requirements of the instructional program, and maintain conditions on the buses which are conducive to the best interests of students.

Student Enrollment for Transportation

Each year parents/guardians will be required to enroll their student to receive transportation to and from school. This process in no way waives your child’s right to district provided transportation, if eligible under Board of Education Policy.  Read more about the Student Enrollment for Transportation.

Daycare and Joint Custody Changes

Reporting concerns

If you would like to notify the district about an incident or concern involving student behaviors on the school bus, first notify the bus driver. If this does not resolve the problem, you may contact your child’s school or the transportation department at (518) 587-4545.

If you would like to notify the district about an incident or concern involving a bus driver or bus assistant, contact the transportation office directly at (518) 587-4545.

If you would like to notify the district about an incident or concern involving bus routes or stops, contact the routing office at routing@saratogaschools.org or  (518) 587-4545, ext. 11315.

All other transportation-related concerns may be directed to the bus dispatcher at (518) 693-1316.
