Student transportation is scheduled to and from the student’s primary residence. If transportation is needed to a different location on a regular basis for the following reasons, the parent or guardian must complete an Online Daycare/Joint Custody Change Request Form.
- Daycare purposes for students in Grades K – 8 only. (Must be updated annually or if changes occur.)
- Joint Custody purposes for all grade levels. (Must be updated annually or if changes occur.)
Transportation to all alternate locations must be within school district boundaries. Elementary school students can only be provided transportation to an alternate location within the boundaries of the elementary school in which they attend. District policy does not permit students to be transported to alternate locations for jobs (including babysitting), social functions, scouting activities or religious purposes. Students who are not eligible for transportation are not permitted to ride home with a friend for an afterschool activity.
In the event of an emergency and your child needs to ride a different bus or get off at a different stop on the same bus, please send a note to the school with your child. The note must then be approved by the school office. If an emergency occurs during the day, please contact your child’s school office as soon as possible to arrange for alternate transportation.
