RFID Cards

The Saratoga Springs City School District is focused on providing safe transportation for all students. All school buses are equipped with Mobile Data Terminals which helps drivers focus on the road, manage student location information, and provide oversight of this important part of your child’s day.

All students will be issued a Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) scan card on an annual basis. This card will be used for the duration of the school year indicated on the card. Students will be required to use their cards each time they board and exit the school bus.  If a student forgets or loses their card, the driver can register them manually on the Mobile Data Terminal.

If a student’s ID card has been lost or stolen, they may obtain a replacement card as follows:

  • High School students may request a replacement card from the Main Office.
  • Maple Avenue students may request a replacement card from the student services center.
  • Elementary and Non-Public students should request a replacement card from their bus driver. The new card will also be given to the student by the bus driver.
