Meal Prices and Payment Information

All District students are eligible to receive FREE school meals (1 breakfast and 1 lunch per day), regardless of family income, through the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP).

To add money to a student account for a la carte items,  families may prepay by sending in a check or online through LINQ Connect.  Please make the check out to the School Lunch Program.

Household Income Eligibility Form: Our school is eligible to receive additional state and federal funds based on the number and/or percentage of students enrolled who reside in households that meet established federal income guidelines. We use the Household Income Eligibility Form to collect household information. The form also helps our school district qualify for education funds and discounts. Complete a Household Income Eligibility Form online.

Breakfast

Breakfast is available to all students in every building.

In order to meet USDA requirements, school breakfasts must contain no more than 30% of calories from fat, and less then 10% from saturated fat. In addition, breakfast must provide one fourth of the Recommended Dietary Allowances for protein, calcium, iron, Vitamin A, Vitamin C and calories.

Research shows that children who eat breakfast:

  • are less likely to be overweight
  • show improvement on math, reading and standardized test scores
  • establish healthier habits for later in life
  • have fewer absences and incidences of tardiness
  • are more likely to behave better in school
  • consume more calcium, fiber, foliate and protein

LINQ Connect Meal Account

Students will continue to have individual school meal accounts on LINQ Connect.  Parents/Guardians can manage those accounts through  linqconnect.com to add funds for additional meals and snacks not included in the free breakfasts and lunches.

LINQ Connect allows you to set up one-time or recurring payments for your student’s meal. You can also view previous transactions, set spending limits, transfer funds between students, set low-balance notifications and more. It’s an easy way to manage payments without the hassle of sending cash.

If you experience any issues with the registration process, please contact Jennifer Radigan, Shared Food Service Program Specialist at Capital Region BOCES at 518-464-5106 or by email at jennifer.radigan@neric.org.   For Family Portal technical assistance, please call (844) 467-4700, press 2, then press 1. After a brief hold, you’ll be contacted to a representative who will assist you.
