About the School
Dorothy Nolan Elementary School is the largest of the six elementary schools in the Saratoga Springs City School District. Our size helps to afford students with many great activities and experiences while maintaining a family-like environment where every child is supported and cared for.
Dorothy Nolan is a wonderful place for students to learn and grow, academically, socially and emotionally. Our character education program reinforces citizenship, an openness to diversity and mutual respect. Our school follows the Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports model (PBIS), celebrating students who follow the “3 Bs”- Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Responsible.

Building Equity Leadership Team
The Dorothy Nolan Elementary School Building Leadership Team (BELT) is made up of parents, guardians, and elementary school staff. The BELT meets throughout the year to collaboratively discuss topics that are important to the school. For more information, please contact the main office.
Attendance
Mrs. Fox is the attendance clerk at Dorothy Nolan. Her office is in the lobby across from the main doors. When you are picking up a student, the sign-out clipboard is between the doors. Please remember to always bring identification.
If your student will be late or absent, please call (518) 583-4799 or email dorothynolan_attendance@saratogaschools.org. When possible, please let us know in ADVANCE that your student will be absent. We have an answering machine where you can leave your student’s name, grade, teacher, and reason for absence.
If an absence is not reported prior to 10:30 a.m., parents/guardians will receive an attendance message through ParentSquare notifying them of their student’s absence. Parents/guardians will be able to respond to the message through ParentSquare with a digital note to excuse their child’s absence.
