 Club Meetings and Information February 29th, 2024 

 

Attention all 8th graders attending the Washington D.C. Trip: Your Medical Form B is due no later than March 1st. Please hand in your filled out form to either the main office, to Mrs. Vanderzyden in Room 124 or to Ms. Moore in Room 230. Please see the Canvas page for more information! 

Maple Ave’s Dodgeball tournament will be held on Friday March 8 from 5:45-8:45 pm in Maple’s main gym. Students will be able to sign up as teams of 10 — teams must be comprised of more than one gender, players must all be in the same grade, and players must be Maple Avenue students. Sign-up forms are located outside of the cafeteria and outside of room F180. Please only have one of your teammates grab one. Signups will take place before block 1 (on your way in the building) outside the cafeteria March 4, 5, and 6. Students will need to come to signups with 1 completed roster and $30 ($3 signup fee per player). Only 1 student needs to come with the form and money. Adults and non-playing students are welcome to come watch, and the cost is $5 for them to get in. 

Jazz Band Club will resume rehearsing this Thursday, February 29 from 6:30-7:30pm. 

Any 7th or 8th grade girl interested in trying out for modified lacrosse, there will be an information meeting in the small gym (Gym F) after school at 2:35 on Monday, March 4th 

Ms. Douglas and Mrs. Lowrie’s class will be selling popcorn on Friday 3/1 during lunches. The popcorn table will be open after each lunch period begins, not during the transition into lunch. We will only be selling one bag per student.   

Today is the LAST day to order your 2024 Maple Avenue Yearbook! They are Pre-Order only! Use the link on the Maple Avenue Web page or from Parent Square. 

There will be a Boys Track & Field Meeting for all interested 7th and 8th graders, on Wednesday, 3/6 at 2:20 in Mr. Reilly’s Room, D176. Can’t make the meeting, stop by Mr. Reilly’s room for an informational packet. 

Attention any 7th and 8th grade girl interested in Outdoor Track & Field! There will be an informational meeting after school on Thursday March 7th in room 269 (make sure you have a ride home!) No experience necessary. Everyone is welcome, everyone competes, and no one gets cut!!! See Ms. Grolley for more details.
