2026-2027 Important Athletic Department Dates
Physical Information:
Please forward your student’s updated physical to the appropriate nurse: hs_healthoffice@saratogaschools.org or maple_healthoffice@saratogaschools.org
Physicals expire 12 months after the date of the health exam. No athlete will be permitted to play or tryout with an expired physical.
- Valid fall physicals must be dated 8/1/25 or later
- Valid winter physicals must be dated 11/1/25 or later
- Valid spring physicals must be dated 3/1/26 or later
Please reach out to the nurse’s office to see if your child needs a physical or to schedule an appointment. The school district physician will be available for appointments on August 7th and 14th at Maple Ave Middle School.

Athletic Placement Process (APP) Information
Fall Sports APP Fitness Test Dates:
Wednesday, June 17 and Thursday, June 18 at Maple Avenue after school
Fall Registration & Start Dates:
- Sunday, July 26 –Family ID/Arbiter will open for registration and medical clearance for Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Freshman level sports
- Wednesday, July 29 –Family ID/Arbiter will open for registration and medical clearance for Modified sports including Modified 7/8 and Mod 9
- Monday, August 17 – Freshman/JV/Varsity Football season begins. Please check Schedule Galaxy for practice times and locations at the high school.
- Monday, August 24 – Freshman, JV, and all other Varsity sports begin. Please check Schedule Galaxy for practice times and locations at the high school.
- Monday, August 27– Modified sports begin at Maple Ave.
Winter Registration & Start Dates:
- Monday, October 19 –Family ID/Arbiter will open for registration and medical clearance for Varsity, Junior varsity, and Freshman level sports
- Monday, November 2 –Family ID/Arbiter will open for registration medical clearance for Modified sports including Modified 7/8 and Mod 9
- Monday, November 16 – Freshman, JV, and Varsity sports begin. Please check Schedule Galaxy for practice times and locations at the high school.
- Monday, November 23 – Girls Mod 9 Basketball and Modified Wrestling starts at Maple Ave. Please check Schedule Galaxy for practice times and locations.
- Monday, November 30 – Girls and Boys Mod 7th/8th Basketball starts at Maple Ave. Please check Schedule Galaxy for practice times and locations.
Spring Registration & Start Dates:
- Monday, February 8 –Family ID/Arbiter will open for registration and medical clearance for Varsity, Junior varsity, and Freshman level sports
