Club Meetings and Information November 30th, 2023

Attention Maple Ave 7th Graders!  Want to be part of history?  The 250th anniversary of the Boston Tea Party is December 16!  Bring in small bags of LOOSE tea (NO Tea bags) to your social studies teacher and your tea will end up in Boston Harbor when they reenact the event next month.  The deadline to submit your tea will be December 8.  Let’s remember this famous protest by having Saratoga’s tea fill Boston Harbor!

Ms. Douglas class will begin selling popcorn during all lunches on Friday 12/1 for $1 per bag.

Don’t forget to stop by the library during flex today and tomorrow this week to meet the public librarians and learn about what they have to offer. They have a craft project, some giveaways, and information about their programs.

7th Graders: Save the date for the 7th grade dance! The dance will be on Friday, January 12th. Tickets will be $5 and sold the week of the dance. More info to come!

A hand-up club will meet on Monday, December 4th in room 278. Please join us and help make a difference here at maple avenue.

Jazz Band Club will rehearse this evening from 6:30-7:30 in the band room.

Attention 8th Graders interested in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (or DEI for short). DEI is a group of diverse students who meet to talk about how to make our school more inclusive and more welcoming to all types of students. If you are interested in joining us during flex on Tuesday, December 5th, please stop in your house office this week to put your name on the list to receive a pass to attend.  We look forward to having a great conversation!

Attention Maple Ave Ski Club. There will be an informational meeting for ski club members and their parents/guardians on Tuesday, December 5 at 7:00. This will be a ZOOM meeting and the link will be provided on Parent Square. All ski club members and their parents/guardians are welcome but 6th graders and anyone new to ski club are especially encouraged to attend. At this meeting, all questions about ski club procedures will be answered! Think SNOW! It’s almost time to hit the slopes, Maple!!
