An “A” Day
- It is the last week of Hispanic Heritage Month! Interesting fact: Hispanic Heritage Month runs from September 15-October 15 because so many Latin countries declared their independence from Spain on or around September 15th!
- Our first Best Buddies meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 14th right after school in the library. Come to find out what Best Buddies is all about!
- There is a Student Council meeting on Wednesday, Oct. 14th in Mrs. Kerls room
- French Club will meet on Wednesday in room E142 after school. All students are welcome, even if you don’t take French. Any questions, ask Ms. Decker.
- Are you interested in joining the Varsity Gymnastics team? The team is open to all skill levels and experience. If you are in grades 7 or 8 and interested in more information about the team, tryouts or check out a practice session before the season begins, team and coach information is in your house office.
- Attention Maple Ave Ski Club. We added a bus, so all students are on the bus and in ski club…including ALL 6th graders. It is time to purchase your ski pass through West Mountain if your parent/guardian has not already done so. Prices for ski passes increase after October 15, so get those passes as soon as possible.
- School photos will take place next week during your PE class. Picture forms are being distributed during your PE class this week.
Today’s lunch is soft tacos, yellow rice and veggie pinto beans.
