How the District Communicates Closings and Delays Due to Inclement Weather

As the snowy months approach, SSCSD would like to remind you how you will receive notice if school will be operating under a delay or will be closed due to inclement weather.

All cancellations, delays, or early dismissals are posted on the school district’s website, right on the homepage of the website. The decision to close or delay the starting time of school will be made as early as possible. School closings are also announced through the media via the School Closing Network (which includes many local TV & radio stations as well as newspaper websites.)

Closing information will also be sent directly to all families through ParentSquare as an email and SMS text message.
