The Saratoga Springs City School District is dedicated to creating a more inclusive, safe, and welcoming environment for all students, staff, and community members. This important work is supported by our District Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee, which aligns with our district’s Pathways Vision and the New York State Board of Regents’ Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Framework. The recently adopted New York State Portrait of a Graduate emphasizes Culturally Responsive-Sustaining Education as a foundation for all high school graduates to be equipped with the interpersonal and intellectual skills needed to thrive in an interconnected, ever-changing world.
The district is currently seeking members of our school community to join our Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee. The committee will hold its first meeting on Monday, October 27, at 6 p.m. and all meetings are open to the public. Committee members are expected to attend five meetings throughout the year and participate on one of several subcommittees.
