Saratoga Springs High School senior Loic Goffioul has been named a National Merit Scholarship Semifinalist. In addition, seniors Daniela Fleming, Daniel Hancock, Eleni Hill, Clara Mann, and Kairos Rawert have been recognized as Commended Students by the National Merit Scholarship Program.
A National Merit Semifinalist represents less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors. Loic entered the program by taking the PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test, and he now has the opportunity to continue in the competition for nearly $26 million in National Merit Scholarships to be awarded this spring. Commended Students are also recognized for their exceptional academic promise, demonstrated through their outstandingperformance on the qualifying test.
