The Winner is Martha Mastrianni - Team 8E Thank you to Mr. Johns for providing the prizes! ![]() Dr. Joe Greco accepting a check for $2,200 for the American Red Cross. Sixth grade students in Maple Avenue Middle School's Hathorn House quietly raised the money over an 8 day period by reaching out to their families.

Math Saturday School
Any parent who would like to have their
child attend any of the Saturday Math Workshops being held, is welcome
to have their child attend from 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. or from 9:30 a.m.
to 11:00 a.m. Please check the schedule and grade level to see any area
topics you feel your child would benefit from. Transportation must be
provided. The teacher will meet your child in the lobby and will mark
them down that day for attendance. No permission slip is needed ahead
of time.

Grab and Go Lunch Opportunity
For your convience, beginning January 11, 2010 the cafeteria will be offering bagels as part of a new grab and go lunch. This grab and go lunch will be offered three times a week. Each lunch will include a bagel with a choice of several popular and nutritious options such as: peanut butter, yogurt, string cheese, walnuts, fresh vegetable, fruit or juice and milk. In addition once a week we will be offering a chicken lunch as an alternative to the menued hot lunch. These choices may include: breaded chicken, chicken patties, chicken nuggets or a fresh chicken breast or thigh choice. We will also be offering a bagel lunch once a week. Salads and sub lunches, on a fresh bagel, will still be offered daily. The cafeteria staff will be keeping you informed each day of the lunch offerings. Please try our new options as we venture together into a healthier future.
