Legacy Capital Project Work Scheduled For Summer 2023

As part of the legacy capital project, approved by residents in 2020, improvements and renovations will be made to all eight school buildings and the transportation facility over the next several years.  The project will create energy and operational efficiencies throughout the District as well as protect the community’s long-term investment in our school facilities.

In an effort to keep our school community informed, we would like to share updates regarding upcoming work at Dorothy Nolan Elementary School, Greenfield Elementary School, and Saratoga Springs High School.

Dorothy Nolan Elementary School

Building Enhancements:

  • Cafeteria, Serving Line and Kitchen Addition
  • Main Office Renovations
  • Secure Vestibule
  • Select Restroom Renovations
  • Select Roofing Replacement
  • Mechanical Infrastructure and Energy Efficiency Improvements
  • Select Classroom Renovations (beginning January 2024)
Community Impact: During the summer, the main office will be temporarily relocated to the back of the school building.

Greenfield Elementary School

Building Enhancements:
  • Bus Loop and Parking Lot Improvements
  • Main Office Renovations
  • Secure Vestibule
  • Select Classroom Renovations
  • Mechanical Infrastructure and Energy Efficiency Improvements
Community Impact: During summer, there will be no access to the school and the parking lot will be closed. Greenfield Recreation Summer Programming will be held at Maple Avenue Middle School.

Saratoga Springs High School

Building Enhancements:

  • Cafeteria Renovations
  • Parking Lot Improvements
  • Fitness Center Renovations
  • Select Roofing Replacement
  • Mechanical Infrastructure and Energy Efficiency Improvements

Community Impact: During the summer, the West Circular Street entrance to the High School will be closed. Please use the West Avenue entrance. High School Summer School Programming will be held at Maple Avenue Middle School.
