Events

Get Outdoors & Get Together Day at Saratoga Spa State Park on June 14  aratoga Spa State Park will welcome visitors for Get Outdoors & Get Together Day from 10am to 2pm on Saturday, June 14, 2025 for accessible activities, music and food. In partnership with the NYS Office for People with Developmental Disabilities, several outdoor activities will be available at Saratoga Spa State Park including mineral spring tours (11am & 1pm), stream exploration, birding, crafts, a K9 demonstration by the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department (12:30-1pm), a fire truck display, volleyball, corn hole and more. 

Grant Cottage Community Day on June 14  Enjoy a full day of FREE family fun including Grant Cottage sneak peek walk through tours, Civil War reenactors, cannon demonstrations, tintype photography, a raptor show, and live music.  The event foes from 9:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Click here to learn more about the event.
Vision Zero Public Meeting on June 18  The Capital Region Transportation Council is hosting a public meeting to gather public feedback on the draft Capital Region Vision Zero Safety Action recommendations, which contain several proposed policies, strategies, and capital projects to reduce fatal and serious injury crashes to an eventual goal of zero on all public roadways in the Capital Region. The proposed recommendations were informed by a systemic crash analysis and extensive public feedback. The meeting will be held at the Treehouse Brewing Outside Pavilion area on June 18 from 4-7 p.m.

Activities  

Head Start – Now enrolling: Head Start is a free program for pregnant women and children through age 5 in Saratoga County. When a child is kindergarten eligible after attending Head Start, they have a better chance of succeeding, both by graduating high school and going to college or trade school. Head Start kids grow up to be anything they want to be! Complete an online application at lifeworksaction.org/head-start-programs 

Girl’s Construction Summer Camp presented by the Northeast Construction Trades Workforce Coalition.  Camps take place at the Whitbeck Construction Education Center in Gansevoort, NY!  Click here for more information.

Camp Invention for Grades K-6  SSCSD will once again host Camp Invention.  This year the program will be held August 4-8, 2025  at Dorothy Nolan Elementary School. This year’s exciting new program inspires curiosity and helps kids build essential STEM skills through collaboration with friends and one-of-a-kind creative problem-solving experiences. Campers explore hands-on challenges and open-ended adventures designed to encourage new discoveries and bring big ideas to life!   Click here for more information or to signup.

C.R.E.A.T.E. Community Studios Programing At C.R.E.A.T.E., we help community members feel safe and connected in their social emotional growth and mental health journey, by making therapeutic expressive arts affordable and accessible to people of ALL AGES and abilities. We offer many types of expressive art programs at our Beekman Street studio, including our weekly Open Studios. We offer Teen Open Studio on Tuesdays from 3:30-5pm for ages 13-19, All Ages Open Studio on Wednesday’s from 10am-12pm and Kids Open Studio on Saturdays from 10:30am-12pm. Saratoga Rowing Association  Enjoy team sports and looking to try something new? Saratoga Rowing has Junior Competitive Programs for all athletes from 7th through 12th grade! Youth All Recovery Support Group at The Prevention Council  The Youth All Recovery Support Group is an addiction support group for teens ages 14-17.  The group meets on Thursdays at 5:30 p.m. at the Prevention Council Recovery Center at 125 High Rock Ave. in Saratoga Springs.
