The Saratoga Springs High School Commencement Ceremony was held on Friday, June 27 at the Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC), honoring the achievements of 442 graduating seniors in front of proud family members, friends, and faculty.
During the event, attendees heard from student speakers, Anthony Sanchez and Aleyah Supernaw, class president Samuel Chaucer. and student council president Leah Torres. Additionally, Superintendent of Schools Dr. Michael Patton and Principal Michelle Tsao gave opening remarks. The faculty address was given by social studies teacher David Snyder.
A highlight of the ceremony was the presentation of the prestigious Yaddo Medals, awarded annually to one male and one female graduate who exemplify excellence in scholarship and citizenship. Katrina Trask began the tradition of presenting the Yaddo Medal, crafted by Tiffany & Company, in 1912. This year’s recipients were Name and Name, both recognized for their outstanding contributions to the Saratoga Springs High School community.
