A variety of courses are offered throughout the year from other sources. These courses can count toward your Staff Development hours provided that they occur outside of the school day. The process involves completing a Staff Development Pre-Approval form and submitting it to your building principal. If you should have questions regarding whether or not a course would qualify please call Stephanie Lang at 693-1426.

900 Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI) 6 credits
Instructors: Betty Eagan, Sue DeRossi
Successful completion of this training provides you with certification in a national program of behavior management. You will be given both class instruction and demonstration training for intervening with children and adults having potential or actual aggressive behavior. The training is intended for personnel across the district and especially those teachers in regular and special education who work with students with actual or potential challenging behaviors.
912 Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (CPI) Re-certification 6 credits Instructors: Betty Eagan Sue DeRossi This refresher course is intended for all staff that has completed the CPI training within the last 2 years and needs to update their certification.
