FBA/BIP Team Training - No Credit

The RSE-TASC is offering a free 2-day FBA/BIP Team Training

Tuesday, October 13 &  27, 2010 at the Gick Road Conference Center.  The workshop will be presented by Joe Otter, RSE-TASC Behavior Specialist.  Districts may send a team of up to 5, including one administrator/supervisor, one special ed. teacher, one PPS staff member, and 1-2 others as appropriate.  All team members must attend both days of the workshop.  Day one will focus on foundational concepts and simple FBAs/BIPs.  Day two will focus on complex FBAs/BIPs for multiple, more severe behaviors and behavior in multiple settings.  Sample data sets will be utilized to illustrate training concepts.  Seating for this workshop is limited.  The registration deadline is September 28, 2009.

This workshop was developed to enhance a teachers problem solving as well as understanding of the neurobiological and behavioral aspects found in kids diagnosed with autism/aspergers.  Discussion of resulting effects on classroom performance and teaching styles as well as teaching strategies and team based problem solving specific to children within your classroom will occur making this workshop highly interactive.  Come prepared to learn and solve problems for the "autistic child within your classroom"!

302 Current Issues in Child and Adolescent Psychology      6 Credits

      Review of 4 Winds Grand Rounds Presentations

This workshop will utilize DVD’s of a variety of 4 Winds “Grand Rounds presentations.  Participants will view the original workshop productions.  Discussion will follow each of the DVD’s.  Participants will gain a better understanding of current research and intervention strategies for a variety of psychological conditions and themes for adolescents. 

Date:   Saturday, January 30, 2010

 Times:  There will be three 2 hour segments totaling the six  required staff development hours.  Participants may sign up for any or all of the segments.

 8:00-2:00    3 segments of 8:00-10:00, 10:00-12:00, 12:00-2:00
