How to Add Period Numbers to Your Gradebooks (classes)

Gradebooks (or classes) appear in GradeQuick without period numbers.  The cryptic class and section number are often of little help.

To add period numbers you must work through Edline.  The changes you make at Edline will then be carried over to the Gradebook or class names that appear in the “Window” menu in GradeQuick.  Unfortunately you must open each different class in Edline to make the change.

1. Open the appropriate class page at Edline.

2. In the Contents box to the right, click *Gradebooks

3. In the window that opens click the Edit button.  (Note that there is other information that may or may not be useful to you.

4.  To be safe, DO NOT change the class number you see.  Add the period number to the beginning of the file name – the 3-letter file extension after the last period (.) is very important in a file name.  In the example below “p1-“ was added to indicate the first period class.

5. Click the Save button at the bottom of the screen when you are finished.

6. Repeat steps 1-5 for each of the classes you wish to modify.

The next time you open GradeQuick, the period numbers will appear making moving from one class (gradebook) to another much easier.
