Using GradeQuick in a New Quarter (Term)

Don'ts

  1. Do not delete the previous quarter's classes (gradebooks).

  2. Do not delete or clear student names or grades from the previous quarter's classes (gradebooks).

Do's

  1. Open the gradebooks from last quarter (term) as you would normally.

  2. Be sure that the drop down box that shows the term you are viewing reads "View All Terms".

  3. In one gradebook, add a new "test" (assignment or grade) as you normally would.

  4. In the row labeled Term, highlight the term number listed by default. (1 for first quarter, etc.)

  5. Type in the number of the new quarter. (2 when switching from first to second quarter, etc.)

  6. To add this test (assignment) to your other gradebooks (classes), right click within any grade column and use the Gradebook To Gradebook Copy option as you normally do to copy this new quarter's assignment to your other classes.

  7. To view only the new term select "View Term ??" in the drop down box that reads "View All Terms", or "View Term 1", etc.

IMPORTANT NOTE:  Once you have more than one term, you MUST be sure to choose the appropriate term in the dropdown box that reads "View All Terms", or "Show Term 1", etc.  This must be noted each time you open a gradebook (class) and especially when you are printing reports or sending reports to Edline.

Other Notes:

  1. If you have opted Final Grade in any view or report, that is the overall grade based on all grades for all terms.  Be careful of this particularly when printing reports or sending reports to Edline.

  2. Term Grade and Term ?? Subtotals are used to show grades for a particular term rather than the overall year grade.

  3. You may view grades for any or all terms using the View Term... dropdown.
