How do I know which families DO NOT have access to Edline?
The best information we can get is to follow the steps outlined here. An activation code only show up IF the account has NOT been activated. Therefore, if any family has both a student AND parent activation code showing, they cannot access Edline (including the ability to get grades reports you send).
A. Click the class that you wish to work with
in the My Classes box.
B. Click Manage Class in the Control Center box
C. Scroll down to the Class Management section, click Print Activation Codes.
D. In step 3 (steps 1 and 2 did not appear), choose the Group students and parents together option, then click Next.
E. In step 4, choose the As a web page option, click Print. (A “screen print” will occur.) (Advanced users may choose the data option and create a mail merge document in MS Word for letters home.)

F.
Print in your normal method from this browser window, click Done.
IMPORTANT NOTE: You can also use this screen or printout to determine which of your students and parents have activated Edline accounts. The only names that will appear in this list are those of people who HAVE NOT activated accounts. In the first listing above, the student has not activated but the parent has. In the second listing, neither the parent nor the student have activated Edline accounts. If a student is not listed at all, then both student and parent have activated accounts. |
