Dear Parents/Guardians:

On Friday, May 11, 2007, Maple Avenue conducted a highly successful evacuation drill.  I’d like to take this opportunity to compliment your sons and daughters on the excellent behavior and good citizenship exhibited that day.  We received many compliments from the agencies we worked with and the news media, who were extremely impressed by our students.  You should be very proud of them.

Here is a picture of the students at Maple Avenue who won a raffle sponsored by Barnes and Noble.  The raffle was done in conjunction with the recent completion of the ELA's at Maple Avenue.  Every child in each grade entered the raffle, and the winners received a book bag filled with books from Barnes and Noble.
