As the House Principal of the Red Springs, I am constantly in awe of the energy and vitality that the average student brings with him to Maple Avenue Middle School every day.  That exuberance for seeing friends and sharing experiences can only be matched by the dedication, hard work, and sheer devotion our teachers and staff bring to their classrooms.  Imagine the potential when these two worlds collide!
       
An exciting opportunity awaits the students who step inside our classrooms seeking to learn.  Our mission is to nurture a balance between the academic and the social, emotional, cultural, physical, and ethical growth of each student. As we strive to bring out the potential in our students, we stress that quality work is key to success. To develop a sense of personal excellence is imperative if we expect a student to know what it truly means to “do your best.”  In this matter, parents are the link in the chain that connects education with success: we ask that you continue to help us help your children rise to their maximum potential. 

 Ask to see your child’s homework. Check the agenda daily.  Check Edline regularly for information about your children's classes. Communicate with your child’s team of teachers.  Attend their concerts, games, and parent meetings. Talk with them about what they’ve learned in school.  Let them catch you reading.  Learn to do something new together. 

 One of the greatest gifts we can bestow upon our children is to teach them the importance of an education that never ends. Teach your children well.
