It’s hard to believe that the first marking period is over already!  Please take the time to review your child’s report card with him or her and discuss all of the positive things that took place from September through November.

Continue to foster the importance of education by taking an active interest in what they have accomplished at school.  Ask them what they did in school each day and don’t let the common middle school student’s response of “Nothing!” deter you!  Make sure they practice good study habits and continue to provide them with a supportive, distraction-free environment for homework completion.

If you, or your son or daughter, have any questions about the first marking period, make sure to contact your child’s teacher(s) or guidance counselor directly.  As a team we can all work together to develop a positive plan of action that will help your child achieve success!
