"It's Murder in the Wings" is fast-paced thriller featuring
lots of laughs
The
Drama Club at Saratoga Springs High School will present a comedy
murder-mystery called “It’s Murder in
the Wings” from Nov. 12-14 in the high school auditorium. Show
times are 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 12, and 7:30 p.m. on Friday,
Nov.13, and Saturday, Nov. 14.
Tickets, which are available at the door, are $5 for adults and
$3 for students and senior citizens. Written by Pat Cook and
directed by Kirk Starczewski, the fast-paced thriller tells the
story of the employees of the floundering Wings Publishing
Company, who discover that their boss has met with an untimely
death just before a contract-signing party that will save the
business.
After making the horrible discovery, Maddie, editor at Wings,
realizes that she has to hide the discovery until they can sign
the contract that will allow a bank to grant them an investment
to keep the business going. Of course, the bank would renege on
the offer if its representative knew there was a body in the
next room. In the spirit of “The Front Page,” the fast-paced
screwball comedy produces chaos and lots of laughs.
The 13-member cast, in order of
appearance, includes Hannah Zlotnick as Tyrolia, Bethany Finkin
as Doris, Gabrielle Small as Kitty, Evy Yergan as Maddie, Ryan
Crotty as Donald, Max Beyer as Maxie, Kevin Dorvil as Eddie,
Kate Bullock as Sarah, Rachel Small as Helen, James Alexander as
Bobbie, Mary O’Rourke as June, Dave Burns as Lionel, and Krystle
Carson as Nelva.
