High school parent group seeks support for after-prom event
The Parent-Teacher-Student Organization at the Saratoga Springs High School is seeking support from community businesses for a “Midnight Café” that will be held at the high school following the May 17 junior-senior prom.
“Safety Above All” is the theme of the event, the sixth
sponsored by the PTSO. The after-prom party in the school
cafeteria is open to all junior and senior class members,
including those who don’t attend the prom. “Midnight Café”
tickets will be sold beginning in early May, and will also be
available at the door for $5 each.
At prior events, generous donations from area businesses have
made it possible to award prizes such as laptop computers,
iPods, digital cameras, TV/DVDs, game consoles, and gas and gift
cards. Cash donations have also defrayed the cost of food, music
and other entertainment.
All donors will be acknowledged in the local media. For more
information, please call Bonnie Nicolosi, PTSO treasurer, at
584-4272. Checks should be made payable to “SSHS PTSO
After-Prom” and mailed to: Saratoga Springs High School PTSO, 1
Blue Streak Blvd., Saratoga Springs, N.Y., 12866.
The PTSO event, which will feature a selection of special
coffees and breakfast foods, has traditionally offered a safe
alternative for after-prom entertainment.
