School students are winners in "Take Me to Vote" contest
Assemblyman James Tedisco visits to congratulate students

Fifth-graders at the Greenfield Elementary School were honored with a special visit by Assemblyman James Tedisco on Friday, Feb. 13, in recognition of their outstanding record in accompanying their parents to polling places on Election Day. Mr. Tedisco met with students in Kerry Morris’ fifth-grade, as well as fifth-graders from the Spa Christian School. Those classes had the highest level of participation in the Saratoga County League of Women Voters’ “Take Me to Vote Program” in November. The assemblyman spoke to the students about the importance of voting. He also encouraged them to work hard and value their education. The “Take Me to Vote Program” prepares children for the rights and responsibilities of citizenship. In the photo above, Mr. Tedisco poses with Ms. Morris' fifth-graders. |
