"Gallery" reception honors art by Saratoga Springs students
Art
created by more than 200 students in the Saratoga Springs City
School District was on display during an “art gallery”
reception from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, in the district’s MacFadden
Administration Building. In addition to the artists and their
families, the public was invited to the free
event at 3 Blue Streak Blvd. on the high school campus.
The vibrant collection of artwork that lines the first- and
second-floor hallways demonstrates a continuum of artistic
talent, from colorful crayon drawings by kindergartners to the
sophisticated works of high school students.

superintendent, and Marcia Martin, art department
head, organized the event.
Mr. Piccirillo called the gallery “a powerful illustration of
the scope of the talents and accomplishments of the students in
the district and the teachers they work with.”
The art will remain on display until spring, when it will be
returned to the students and replaced by new pieces.
