Middle school students raise nearly $3,000 for Haitian relief efforts
Students at the Maple Avenue Middle School raised nearly $3,000 for relief efforts in Haiti in the first few weeks after the disastrous earthquake struck. Above, Dr. Joseph Greco, assistant principal in the school's Hathorn Springs house, accepts a check for $2,200, collected by Hathorn Springs sixth-graders and their families for the American Red Cross. Below, eighth-grade French students conduct a Jan. 26 bake sale, which yielded $700 for the Red Cross.
