Registration Information
1. The Continuing Education Program, due to District budget requirements, will be totally self-supporting. Total costs of the program (administrative, instructional, clerical, and related costs) will be borne by registration fees, plus a non-resident fee. The average cost per hour of instruction will vary from $2.00 to $3.00 per hour.

2. Registration is open to all residents of the Saratoga Springs City School District, including high school students with the consent of the Director.

3. Non-residents will be accepted with a cost differential of $2.00 per course.

4. All classes are filled on a "first come, first served" basis.

5. Pre-register early by mail and save $2.00 per course (except those courses indicated with **)
a. Fill out registration form completely. (Click here for registration form)
b. Enclose correct fee. Make checks payable to Board of Education, Saratoga Springs City Schools.
c. Mail or bring form to OFFICE OF CONTINUING EDUCATION, SARATOGA SPRINGS HIGH SCHOOL, 3 BLUE STREAK BOULEVARD, SARATOGA SPRINGS, NEW YORK 12866.
d. You will be notified ONLY if your registration has NOT been accepted.
e. Pre-Register in person at WILTON MALL (near the inside mall entrance to the Food Court), Friday, Sept. 7, from 3:30-8:00 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 8, from 10:00 a.m.- 3:00 p.m., and Sunday, Sept. 9, from noon-3 p.m.

6. Registration in person will take place Sept. 4 through Nov. 20, 9:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 1:00-3:00 p.m. in the Continuing Education Office located at 3 Blue Streak Blvd.

7. REMEMBER: Save $2.00 per course with pre-registration (unless indicated with **).

8. Register the evening of the first class, and pay full amount.

9. Telephone registrations are NOT accepted.

Classes will begin the week of Sept. 24
except where otherwise noted in the course descriptions. Most classes meet for 7 weeks from 7:00-9:00 p.m. unless otherwise indicated. Most classes will be held in the High School or the Maple Avenue Middle School. For computer and cooking classes at Maple Avenue, enter the school at the front entrance and take the staircase to your left. Once on the second floor, proceed down the "O" corridor to the right. Please check listing for other locations. There is no notification of acceptance into a course, ONLY notification of cancellations or close-outs.

**PLEASE NOTE: The Continuing Education Office is located in room C101C in the central administration offices at 3 Blue Streak Blvd. (on the high school campus).


REFUNDS....................There will be no refunds unless the course is cancelled. If a student cancels a course BEFORE THE START OF THE FIRST CLASS, a refund, less a $5 service charge, will be given.

SUPPLIES.....................Fees do not include cost of text or materials.

ENROLLMENT.............At least 13 people should register for a course before it can be guaranteed. Exceptions will be made at the discretion of the director after consulting with the instructor.

SCHOOL CLOSING.....Continuing Education will be closed on evenings when the regular day schools are closed. If day school closes EARLY for STORM RELATED conditions, then Continuing Education classes are cancelled. Continuing Education will be open otherwise unless notified by your instructor. Information regarding cancellation of classes due to storm-related conditions will be provided on our Voice Mail. Please call 583-4782. You may also obtain information from the school district Web site at www.saratogaschools.org

SARATOGA SPRINGS SENIOR CITIZENS........Senior Citizens from the Saratoga Springs City School District ONLY will be entitled to free registration in classes (except classes having limited enrollment, such as Defensive Driving, Computer Courses and Golf) which have 13 paid registrants. If Senior Citizens REQUEST they be counted as paid registrants in order for a course to have the required number, all seniors beyond the 13 will be requested to also pay the fee.

PLEASE NOTE..............Smoking is prohibited ANYWHERE on school property.

GUN FREE SCHOOLS........Guns are prohibited ANYWHERE on school property.

 Voice mail will take messages when the office is closed.

NEXT SEMESTER.........Ideas for courses and suggestions for possible instructors are welcome. Please submit either to the Continuing Education Office in writing.

OCT. 8: Columbus Day Observed - Office Closed, CLASSES CANCELLED.
OCT. 11: High School Open House (Grades 11 & 12) - CLASSES CANCELLED AT HIGH SCHOOL ONLY.
NOV. 12: Veterans Day Observed - Office Closed, CLASSES CANCELLED.
NOV. 21-23: Thanksgiving Recess - Office Closed, CLASSES CANCELLED.

**ONE OR TWO NIGHT SPECIALS**
In an attempt to provide wide experiences in many fields, a series of one or two night specials has been arranged in a variety of subjects. A fee of $5 per session will be charged unless listed differently. Pre-registration is necessary for these courses to be conducted on a self-sufficient basis. If there is a lack of sufficient enrollment, the course will be cancelled.
**THERE IS NO PRE-REGISTRATION DISCOUNT ON THESE COURSES. THERE IS NO EXTRA CHARGE FOR OUT-OF-DISTRICT RESIDENTS.
** Unless otherwise indicated, classes will be held at the high school.
