Students will review the 6 Basic movements followed by learning and integrating the next 6 Advanced movements to complete the practice of Tai Chi for Arthritis series.  Certified by the NY Arthritis Foundation, Jane Perkins-Huyck leads this program utilizing the Sun Style, one of the four major recognized styles of Tai Chi.  The Sun style is particularly effective for people with arthritis because the movements have comfortable higher stances, fluid and continuous agile steps that have been shown to improve balance, concentration and mobility.  Combined with the breathing and relaxation exercises, Tai Chi also offers the potential to reduce pain and stiffness.  It is recommended that students are familiar with the preceding 6 Basic movements.  Please wear comfortable clothing and soft-soled shoes/sneakers.    Class size limited to 20.
