Beginning Woodworking is a course for beginner’s only that introduces students to furniture making techniques. Topics include wood identification, joints, hand and power tool usage, and finishing. Students will have the opportunity to build a Wash Bench which demonstrates many techniques. Wood for project is not provided. A $15 materials fee will be payable to instructor the first night of class with additional materials to be discussed at that time. Class size limited to 12.

CAR CARE FOR THE AUTOMOTIVE CHALLENGED: From Basic to Advanced
Two Nights Chuck Tanzer
Join us for this introductory course in car care essentials. This is a basic course for men and women who want to know some routine car care practices. An overview will be given of the various car systems such as fuel, cooling, lubrication, exhaust and other automotive fundamentals. Instructor is the fleet supervisor for the Saratoga Springs City School District Transportation Department. The course will be held at the Transportation Facility on Duplainville Road in the Grande Industrial Park.

FURNITURE RESTORATION
7 weeks Paul McCarty
This course will involve the care and repair of antique and collectible furniture. Students will be instructed in regluing furniture, making replacement parts, application of new finishes and other techniques. Replacement seating for pressed or woven cane or paper rush will be taught. Beginners should bring a small, portable piece of furniture to class the first night. (Note: Heavily painted furniture should be professionally stripped before class begins). Materials fee of $7 payable to instructor the first night of class. Additional materials to be discussed at that time. Class size limited to 12.
