Emergency School Closing Information
School closings and delays will be posted
here and on the district home page as soon as they are
available. Information will also be available at
http://www.cancellations.com,
http://www.timesunion.com/weather/closings/,
www.capitalnews9.com, and on
the radio and television stations
listed below, beginning at about 6 a.m. for
closings:
WCKM-FM 98.5; WGY-AM 810 and WRVE-FM 99.5; WYJB-FM 95.5, WROW-AM 590, WPTR-FM
96.3; WGNA-AM 1460 and FM 107.7; WQAR-FM 101.3; WMYY-FM 97.3 and
WHAZ-AM 1330; and WNYQ-FM 105.7 and WZZM-FM 93.5 FM. The
information will also be announced on television stations WRGB-Channel
6; WTEN-Channel 10; WNYT-Channel 13; and Capital News 9.
Early dismissal, prompted by severe weather or other emergencies
that develop later in the day, would be planned for 10 a.m.,
noon or 1 p.m. to accommodate the schedules of all the public
and private schools served by the district's transportation
department.
